A progressive and forward‑thinking farming business is seeking an experienced Arable Farm Manager to oversee a large‑scale arable operation in Lincolnshire. The role involves managing day‑to‑day operations while driving efficiency, continuous improvement, and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Full management of arable operations across a large‑scale farm.
- Planning and delivering cropping programmes to maximise yield and quality.
- Managing cultivation, drilling, spraying and harvesting operations.
- Overseeing machinery use, maintenance and investment planning.
- Leading and supporting farm staff and contractors.
- Managing crop inputs including fertiliser, sprays and seed.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental, health & safety and assurance standards.
- Working closely with agronomists and senior management.
- Driving innovation, sustainability and best practice across the business.
The Candidate
- Proven experience in arable farm management.
- Strong technical knowledge of crop production and agronomy.
- Experience operating and managing modern farm machinery.
- Previous team management or supervisory experience.
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and inputs.
- Forward thinking with an interest in sustainable practices.
- PA1/PA2 (essential), BASIS (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence.
