A progressive farming business is seeking an experienced Agricultural Mechanic to support the ongoing maintenance and performance of its machinery fleet. This is a hands-on position, working across a range of modern agricultural equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency across all farming operations, particularly during peak seasonal periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of agricultural machinery
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Maintain tractors, combines, cultivation equipment, and associated machinery
- Support operational activities to minimise downtime during busy periods
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Assist with workshop duties, including fabrication and general repairs where required
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers as needed
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment
The Candidate
- Proven experience in agricultural machinery maintenance or a similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of modern farm equipment, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Welding or fabrication experience would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence (additional tickets beneficial but not essential)
- Practical, reliable, and proactive approach to work
