Location of the Job: Cornwall, South West of England.
Salary and Benefits Package: Paying around £14 per hour depending on experience. Overtime rate and overtime opportunities available.
Additional information: This is a permanent full-time position. Monday - Friday working, with the opportunity for Saturday overtime if you would like to work overtime. Working hours are usually 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
About The Company: A progressive mixed farm in Cornwall specialising in sustainable crop production, biomass products, forage and environmentally focused agricultural enterprises.
The Job Role Details: As Yard foreman you will be an essential part of a small team undertaking the primary manufacture and delivery of premium animal feed and bedding from farm grown crops within a busy working agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive telehandlers on site within the yard, unload and load large square and round agricultural bales. This will include precise loading of production lines.
- Manage stock within the yard.
- Operate recording procedures.
- Work closely with management in recording procedures and optimising raw material to the end products.
- Assist within the general production lines on site.
- Liaise with different hauliers and services, being polite and concise.
- Work as part of a team and liaise with the Farm and Production Manager.
- Support on production lines when necessary, including manual handling.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience operating and driving telescopic telehandlers, on farm or within an agricultural industrial environment.
- Previous skills and experience working on farm.
- Worked in either a mechanical or industrial machinery setting.
- Excellent communications skills to be able to work well within a small team.
- Able to operate and drive forklift trucks and tractors.
