We have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Agricultural Design Engineer. The company are building a dynamic team of design professionals focused on the innovation of new products and the enhancement of existing agricultural equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Design components and products for the agricultural machinery and equipment industry.
- Carry out sketching, concept development, CAD, realistic rendering, prototyping, testing, fabrication, engineering drawings, and preparation of production files.
- Project lead and take ownership.
- Look after product handover and sign off with the production team.
- Support the design team in concept development from briefs supplied.
- Build and prepare presentations for sales presentations.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
- Design engineering experience with extensive 3D CAD skills from a recognised CAD system - SolidWorks.
- Agricultural industry experience.
- Mechanically minded, from a hands-on practical background, showing a thorough knowledge of machine function, materials, fabrication and assembly processes.
- Have a recognised qualification in Engineering Design (although career experience giving you the necessary expertise and competence will be highly valued).
- A positive, can-do attitude, resourceful and focused on achieving results within a given timeframe and a strong ability to relate designs to practical in-field operation and performance.
- A self-starter mentality, capable of working effectively in and contributing to a team environment and the ongoing development of existing and new products.
- Good all-round communication and interpersonal skills, along with a high standard of IT literacy.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English - strong written and verbal communication.
