About the Company:
Our client is an established family-run farming business in Gloucestershire, operating both dairy and beef enterprises.
The dairy unit comprises approximately 280 milking cows using a modern robotic milking system, alongside a substantial beef enterprise.
The business has an established team and is looking to recruit an Assistant Herdsperson who can become an important part of the dairy operation, with the opportunity to continue developing their practical and technical skills.
Assistant Herdsperson - The Job Role Details:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Herdsperson to join a progressive dairy farming business in Gloucestershire.
Working as part of an established team, you will support the day-to-day care, health and welfare of the dairy herd, undertaking a varied range of practical livestock duties.
This position would particularly suit somebody with a grounding in dairy or livestock farming who is keen to develop their experience. You do not need to be an experienced Herd Manager, as the business is happy to train and develop the right individual.
With a robotic milking system in place, this is a modern dairy operation offering a different working pattern to a traditional parlour-based dairy system.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the day-to-day care, health and welfare of the dairy herd
