As Seed Sales Specialist you will develop a profitable sales territory promoting and selling seed varieties and brands to progressive farms throughout the East of England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets by product group / varieties / brands agreed with the company for each financial year.
- Agree and implement a sales business plan for development and retention of profitable accounts.
- Produce sales forecast by customer / species / variety for each sales campaign.
- Visit farmers to promote and sell the company product portfolio.
- Where possible develop a multi-crop offering.
- Develop relationships with independent agronomy groups and farm groups to influence decisions at farm level.
- Follow up company marketing campaigns at farm level.
- Attend trade shows, set-up and manage demo sites across events to support specific sales and marketing activity.
- Plan and present farmer agronomist meetings and demonstrations.
- Attend company sales meetings and training programmes.
- Continuously develop personal skills, commercial and technical and drive personal development plan.
- Adhere to the company credit and pricing policies.
- Report area and market activities to the management of the company using the relevant IT solutions available (CRM).
- Manage time and activity with customers using company CRM Sales system.
- Create marketing lists to drive marketing intel and social media via CRM.
- Use IT tools to input orders and new account.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
- Agricultural sales experience in a similar role.
- Practical farming experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Clean Driving Licence.
- IT literate.
- BASIS / FACTS - desirable but not essential.
