About The Company: A specialist agricultural company who provides seeds for fields, vegetables and cereals.

The Job Role Details:

As Seed Sales Specialist you will develop a profitable sales territory promoting and selling seed varieties and brands to progressive farms throughout the East of England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets by product group / varieties / brands agreed with the company for each financial year.
  • Agree and implement a sales business plan for development and retention of profitable accounts.
  • Produce sales forecast by customer / species / variety for each sales campaign.
  • Visit farmers to promote and sell the company product portfolio.
  • Where possible develop a multi-crop offering.
  • Develop relationships with independent agronomy groups and farm groups to influence decisions at farm level.
  • Follow up company marketing campaigns at farm level.
  • Attend trade shows, set-up and manage demo sites across events to support specific sales and marketing activity.
  • Plan and present farmer agronomist meetings and demonstrations.
  • Attend company sales meetings and training programmes.
  • Continuously develop personal skills, commercial and technical and drive personal development plan.
  • Adhere to the company credit and pricing policies.
  • Report area and market activities to the management of the company using the relevant IT solutions available (CRM).
  • Manage time and activity with customers using company CRM Sales system.
  • Create marketing lists to drive marketing intel and social media via CRM.
  • Use IT tools to input orders and new account.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:

  • Agricultural sales experience in a similar role.
  • Practical farming experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Clean Driving Licence.
  • IT literate.
  • BASIS / FACTS - desirable but not essential.
