Company: An established rural property and land consultancy seeking an experienced MRICS Senior Surveyor / Associate with an interest in Property Management to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, manage a varied portfolio of rural estate instructions and play an active role in developing both clients and junior team members.

The Opportunity: You’ll work as part of a team delivering retained estate management and wider rural consultancy services, providing practical and strategic advice to a diverse client base. The role offers variety across estate management, landlord & tenant, property management, property rights, consultancy and rural projects, alongside opportunities for business development and team leadership.

  • Manage rural estate management instructions from inception through to completion
  • Provide advice on landlord & tenant, property management, negotiations and property rights
  • Assist with consultancy projects, including compulsory purchase and utility negotiations
  • Prepare fee estimates and quotations
  • Supervise, coach and mentor junior surveyors
  • Support performance reviews and knowledge sharing across the team
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and understand their commercial objectives
  • Identify and generate new business from existing and prospective clients
  • Contribute to departmental and wider business planning
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional rural services, including valuations, diversification, renewables, grants, business planning, agency and farmland investment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines to deliver joined-up client solutions
  • Represent and promote the business within the rural property market
  • Maintain high professional standards and comply with RICS, GDPR and company procedures

About You:

  • MRICS qualified
  • CAAV qualified or working towards CAAV
  • Strong technical rural surveying and estate management experience
  • Commercially minded with proven business development ability
  • Excellent knowledge of the rural property market
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Confident managing instructions independently
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior professionals
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to use initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
