We're working with a leading consultancy seeking a GIS Specialist to join a growing Land Referencing and GIS team, supporting the delivery of nationally significant infrastructure, utilities, and major development projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects that have a direct impact on the UK's future infrastructure landscape, whilst enjoying the flexibility of a home-based role.
As a GIS Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality spatial analysis, data management, mapping, and web GIS solutions to support project teams across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and utilities projects. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you'll collaborate closely with specialists in land referencing, land consents, project delivery, and data management to provide innovative GIS solutions that support decision-making and project success.
Location: Working from home – Scotland – UK wide
Salary Package: £35,000 - £45,500 basic salary depending on skills and experience, car allowance
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver spatial analysis and cartographic outputs to support infrastructure and utilities projects.
- Manage and maintain spatial and non-spatial datasets.
- Develop and administer web GIS applications and platforms.
- Produce high-quality mapping and visualisations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support land acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and statutory processes through GIS solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and workflow development.
- Contribute to the development of GIS standards, processes, and best practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams across a variety of high-profile projects.

Experience:
- QGIS
- Spatial database design and management
- FME Form and/or Flow
- Python (including automation and scripting)
- Spatial analysis and data management
- Producing technically accurate and visually engaging mapping outputs
- Experience with web GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Online, GroundMapper, LandApp, or similar technologies would be advantageous
