About the Company:

Our client operates a modern farm‑based anaerobic digestion (AD) facility focused on efficient renewable energy production and sustainable farming operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily operation and monitoring of the AD plant
  • Feeding the digester using tractors, telehandlers, loading shovels, or similar machinery
  • Tractor driving and movement of feedstocks/materials around site
  • Monitoring plant performance and reporting issues to management
  • Carrying out basic maintenance, inspections, and housekeeping duties
  • Responding to alarms and assisting with breakdowns where required
  • Supporting planned maintenance activities
  • Ensuring high standards of health & safety and site compliance
  • Assisting with general site operations and machinery duties
  • Participating in an on‑call rota where required

Essential Candidate Skills & Experience:

  • Proven tractor driving experience
  • Experience operating telehandlers, loading shovels, or similar agricultural/heavy plant machinery
  • Mechanically minded with basic maintenance capability
  • Comfortable working outdoors within an agricultural or industrial environment
  • Reliable and willing to participate in on‑call work
  • Good awareness of health & safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Practical and proactive approach to work

Desirable:

  • Previous AD plant or biogas experience
  • Telehandler certificate/licence
  • Agricultural machinery experience
  • Basic engineering or maintenance knowledge
  • Experience working within farming, biomass, feed mill, grain handling, or industrial processing environments

Working Hours:

Full‑time role with flexibility required, including participation in an on‑call rota and occasional weekend work where necessary.
