Overview
We have an opportunity for a Production Team Leader to help us run our salad bowl line and production teams at Florette in Lichfield, WS13 8NF.
As a Team Leader, you will lead the production teams across your allocated shift pattern. The ideal candidate will achieve or exceed production performance KPIs across a balanced agenda whilst maintaining compliance to health, safety and quality procedures and policies. You will facilitate CI activity for the team within the site CI framework, and support all team activities including interaction with scheduling, supply chain, NPD, Technical/QA functions and other production areas. Working hours: 4 days on, 4 days off. 7am - 7pm.
Pay: £16.25 per hour.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that the daily/weekly plan is delivered in full and in line with budget including labour usage and yield. Monitor and report on hourly, daily and shift performance.
- Ensure all staff are suitably equipped and trained to perform in their role currently and for future needs of the business.
- To ensure effective management of agency team members.
- Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety, HR policies and quality procedures both internally and externally.
- Performance manages the team including quarterly performance reviews, target setting and coaching where required.
- Maintain good GMP of both area and plant liaising with Engineering/Snr technician where appropriate.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly preferential.
- Knowledge of quality systems including HACCP and corrective and preventative actions.
- Experience of managing teams with a headcount >10 including conducting investigations.
- Knowledge and examples of application of Lean tools and techniques including problem solving.
- Good level of mathematical capability and an understanding of yield and productivity measures.
- Good communication skills and a desire to build cross functional relationships.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene protocols are followed.
