At Agrial Fresh Produce, we grow, pack, and distribute fresh produce that reaches people up and down the country. As a Tractor Driver in Colchester, you’ll be a key part of the day‑to‑day operation—helping to transport materials and assist with agricultural and production activities with care, consistency, and a strong focus on safety.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operate tractors and attachments to move materials around the site efficiently and safely.
- Carry out pre‑use checks and basic maintenance to keep equipment in good working order and report faults promptly.
- Follow planned routes and schedules to support workflow and meet operational needs.
- Support farming and production tasks as required, working closely with the wider team.
- Ensure safe working practices at all times, including site rules, pedestrian segregation, and responsible driving.
- Maintain accurate records where required (for example, equipment usage, logs, or routine documentation).
What we’re looking for:
- A genuine interest in agricultural operations and a can‑do, safety‑first attitude.
- Experience driving tractors (or comparable agricultural/plant machinery) in a working environment.
- Confidence working outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Good attention to detail—especially when it comes to checks, cleanliness, and correct use of attachments.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback on board, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work as part of a team, while also being reliable when working on your own.
Not sure you meet everything exactly? If you’re enthusiastic, dependable, and ready to develop your skills, we encourage you to apply. We value motivation and the willingness to learn as much as experience.
Why this role could be for you:
This is a hands‑on position where your contribution is visible every day. You’ll be operating machinery that keeps operations flowing, working in a practical environment where preparation, care, and good communication truly matter. We believe in developing our people.
