We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, ideally with an electrical bias, to join our dedicated Maintenance Engineering team here at Florette in Lichfield (WS13 8NF). Our Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers play a vital role in our business, maintaining a range of specialist machinery and equipment throughout our factory site so that we can supply the nation with our award winning salads.
Working in teams of three on a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance, you will perform cyclical equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues and make on-site repairs when needed. The successful candidate will be electrically biased or strongly multi-skilled across both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. Experience of refrigeration, chlorine, or compressed air would be a notable advantage, along with an understanding of food safety.
Our Engineering team has been consolidated in the last year, and we are providing strong development opportunities across soft and hard skills. With our new expansion of our Lichfield site to incorporate a Beetroot production facility, the Maintenance Engineering team will be key in ensuring the regular running of our production sites as well as the opportunities to introduce Continuous Improvement initiatives. We have a strong existing team that is looking for a new Maintenance Engineer to join us in our expansion of our site, overall experience, and personal development.
Pay: Β£51,000 per annum
Working pattern: Panama Shift- 12 hour shifts | 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am | Rotating days & nights | 4On/5Off, 5On/5Off, 4On/4Off
Main Responsibilities:
- Day to day upkeep of Production Equipment and Machinery.
- Site-wide Preventative Maintenance.
- Reacting to breakdowns quickly in order to reduce downtime.
- Equipment repair, technical repairing, in addition to factory start up and testing.
- The accurate and timely completion of necessary documentation.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.
- Recognised qualification in an engineering discipline or a recognised apprenticeship in engineering, ideally at NVQ Level 3 or similar.
- Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled manufacturing environment.
- A Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
- Strong diagnostic fault finding capability.
- Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
- A proactive Health and Safety mindset with excellent attention for detail.
