Responsibilities
- Accurately select, pick, and scan finished products in accordance with picking documentation.
- Visually check product quality and examine for damage.
- Carry out relevant quality checks accurately and within specified time frames, measuring against standards and escalating any issues.
- Safely assemble picked items onto a pallet, wrapping and labeling when completed.
- Check loading pattern to ensure stability.
- Use mechanical equipment to safely load finished products onto the relevant trailer, ensuring the load is secured.
- Complete dispatch paperwork and update IT systems, ensuring information is clear, accurate, and in accordance with procedure.
- Maintain hygiene standards in the area, keeping it clean, safe, and tidy at all times; store equipment correctly.
- Inform the line manager of any issues with equipment, stock, or quality to agree on required changes or actions.
Qualifications
- Basic written and spoken English.
- Ability to understand and undertake Food Safety Qualification.
- Right to work documentation.
- Flexible approach to work and hours.
- Understanding and adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
- Capability to carry out duties in line with Occupational Health requirements.
- Maintaining personal hygiene standards.
- Relevant experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
- Counterbalance forklift truck licence and powered pallet truck licence.
