We have an exciting opportunity for a HGV Driver to join our Transport team at Agrial Fresh Produce in Wigan, WN5 0LB. Your main role will be to deliver company products to our customers in a professional, safe and timely manner. You'll adhere to Working Time Directive ensuring all safety aspects and considerations are met at all times.

Working hours: 4 on, 4 off on a night shift, 12 hour shifts

Pay: £42,773.82 per annum

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Company products are delivered in a professional manner, delivering to major RDC’s with some multidrop involved.
  • To comply with the rules on working time as specified in the “Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations” and responsible for ensuring all safety aspects are met.
  • Where necessary you will be required to carry out other duties within the warehouse & distribution department, Light clean work (palletised salad).
  • To safely drive our vehicles, complying with all driving laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.
  • Abide by customers rules and regulations whilst on site, be an ambassador for Agrial.
  • Familiar with Microlise drive TAB/EPOD System.
  • To work effectively and professionally to the company standards, policies and procedure.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 2 years’ experience of driving HGV vehicles on UK roads
  • Valid Full HGV Class 1 licence
  • Driver CPC qualification card
  • Be over 25 years old
