We’re looking for a Claims Assessor to join our team at Agria Pet where you’ll be responsible for validating and assessing a variety of claims, accurately and efficiently, across a wide range of products.

This role sits at the forefront of ensuring pet owners receive support when they need it most, so you’ll need a passion for providing fantastic customer service!
Ideally you’ll have experience of working within the pet insurance industry handling claims, or perhaps you’re a Veterinary Nurse looking for a change in career.
We have a hybrid approach to work and all attend the Aylesbury office every Wednesday.
You will be required to attend a two week induction in the Aylesbury office when you start. You must be able to commit to this arrangement in order to be considered for this role.
What you’ll be doing:
• Accurately enter claims data onto our in-house system.
• Validate and assess a variety of claims across a range of products.
• Ensure a comprehensive understanding of Agria’s policy terms & conditions.
• Research and request missing information to expedite prompt claims assessment.
• Compose/edit correspondence ensuring all documentation is professional and correct.
• Ensure that claims assessment service levels are adhered to.
• Assess and complete the pre-authorisation of claims.
• Handle all calls efficiently and professionally to agreed service standards.
What we’re looking for:
• Prior experience of working within the insurance and/or veterinary industries.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Clear communicator, both verbal and written
• Confident decision maker who can work from own initiative.
• Effective questioning and listening skills, with the ability to quickly assimilate and retain detailed information.
