Overview: Responsible for the leadership, strategic direction and performance of all investment activity. Jointly responsible with CEO for success of our investment activities. The CIO will be accountable to CEO and Board.
Job Description:
- The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) is responsible for developing and implementing the investment strategy for the family office. The CIO will oversee the investment portfolio, manage relationships with external managers, and ensure that investment activities align with the family’s financial goals, values, and risk tolerance. The CIO will work closely with the Investment Committee and other senior leaders to drive long-term financial growth and maintain a diversified and sustainable investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall investment strategy for our company, including asset allocation, investment selection, and portfolio management.
- Define investment goals, performance benchmarks, and risk management frameworks in alignment with the family’s financial objectives and values.
- Oversee the management of the investment portfolio, including the selection, monitoring, and evaluation of investment opportunities across various asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, private equity, real estate).
- Regularly review and rebalance the portfolio to maintain alignment with investment objectives and market conditions.
- Identify, evaluate, and select external investment managers, advisors, and consultants.
Provide strategic advice to the family office on investment opportunities, market trends, and financial planning.
Candidate Profile Sought:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Experience:
- At least 15 years of experience in investment management, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful investment strategies.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of investment products, market trends, and financial analysis techniques.
