ROLE SUMMARY:

This emerging business in the Plant Care and Sustainable Biologicals realm has recently been acquired by a multi billion dollar agri-sciences business, and now has ambitious plans for its small but growing UK team. They are therefore seeking two Technical Agronomists - one for the South of the UK, the other for the North (including Scotland) - to play a key role in supporting the development and further commercialisation of their sustainable bio products.

Having had success in recent years with some of their key products, they have been able to secure relationships with a big player in the UK agri scene and are looking to develop this further. While we are not so focused on specifying the 'number of years' experience a candidate needs to possess, we are looking for somebody already with a demonstrable background in technical agronomy, who can plot and run trials and is comfortable when it comes to working with and interpreting the resulting data from these.

Furthermore, the candidate needs to possess strong commercial skills and the tactfulness to further develop relationships within a key distributor, as well as growers and other agronomists. Beneficial experience could include exposure to potatoes and cereals, and products with a sustainability element to them; however, what’s more important is an aptitude to learn and, with training, pick up new biological and sustainability related concepts and product specifics.

This is an exciting time to join a business that is still small but on a growth trajectory with serious backing over the coming years. Further career opportunities will open up for those who are ambitious to progress... apply now to learn more!
