Senior Buyer - Indirect/Logistics/Materials

Agratas is currently looking for a Indirect Category Buyer – Logistics & Materials to join our growing Indirect Procurement team and help build our new battery factory. This is a hybrid working role that will be based in our Coventry office.

You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a variety of indirect materials and services necessary to support business operations. This includes Dies and molds, small tools, HSE items, contracts negotiation with Export-import logistic providers, CHAs, 3PL providers, local transporter and other indirect goods and services that contribute to the overall efficiency of the company.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and production, to ensure materials are sourced cost-effectively and in alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for indirect Purchasing of Capex/Opex Indirect goods and services for an OEM.
• Manage the sourcing portfolio ensuring transparency of awarding.
• Lead and manage the RFI, RFQ, Cost Comparison, Zero based costing, Negotiation & awarding process.
• Establish beneficial working relationships with various internal groups across the organization including various programs, regional/country offices, legal, finance, and others.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, product quality, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure optimal value for the organization.
• Negotiate and execute contracts for Dies and molds, consumables, small tools, HSE items etc.
• Negotiate and execute Contracts for Export-Import logistics providers, 3PLs, employee transportation, Canteen/food supply, scrap disposal, office/site rents.
• Stay updated on market trends, new suppliers, and innovations in indirect materials. Proactively research and recommend alternative suppliers or products to optimize cost and performance.
• To prepare and propose cost reduction strategies and category plan to Procurement Lead.
• Proactively identify risks and create contingency plan to mitigate risk in supply chain to avoid potential disruption on operations.

Experience

• Proven work experience in Indirect Sourcing, mainly in OPEX function for automobile/Tech Company for Green field or Brown Field Project.
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
• Broad Knowledge about Contract finalization.
• Knowledge about legal terms.
• Strong project management.
• Prices trends of Pipe, Valves, fittings from Major OEM
• To work on zero based costing for Fabrication Items
• Solid judgment with ability to make good decisions
• Capable of managing self-activity planning and sorting priorities as per deadlines and work without supervision.
