Who we are… Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. We have a state of the art R&D facility in Oxfordshire and Product Development in Coventry and are currently looking to complement our highly skilled team with the brightest minds from within the battery sector.
The Opportunity The Cell Product Ownership & Validation team is at the forefront of driving product development by converting requirements into validated, design-representative products. The team ensures that both cell and engineering specifications are created, maintained, and communicated across the organisation. Key to success in this role is the early establishment of clear product scopes and goals, ensuring alignment and focus throughout the product development phases. By creating detailed, structured requirements, enables testing against defined criteria, guaranteeing that the final product meets user needs while delivering on business objectives. Comprehensive documentation serves as a foundation for identifying potential risks early, paving the way for the development of robust, innovative solutions.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Work closely with key stakeholders to collate Product Requirements across Agratas’ Portfolio
- Breakdown high level requirements into detailed and actionable specifications
- Maintain detailed records and reports for regulatory compliance and internal tracking, throughout the lifecycle of the product
- Finalise and release Product Requirements to the business & support DFMEA development
- Monitor requirements status in project and identify gaps and risks
- Identify & resolve conflicts in requirements and react and respond to change
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Knowledge of Lithium-ion cells and their use in various applications
- Demonstrate previous experience of requirements management and use of PLM tools
- Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with stakeholders, document requirements, and clarify ambiguities
Desired
- Knowledge of Lithium-ion cell design

- Degree Level or higher in science or engineering subject
