Overview
Agratas is seeking a Quality Manager – Customer Quality based in Bridgwater, England, United Kingdom. This role oversees all customer quality activities to ensure the final product meets customer requirements prior to shipment, and ensures customer requirements are understood, assessed, and incorporated into each batch. The role also involves coordinating across teams to support problem resolution for customer concerns and participating in groups to improve the product and manufacturing process from introduction through end of life. The role may interact with other Agratas manufacturing facilities worldwide to share knowledge and establish best practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement customer requirements in the manufacturing process to ensure product compliance.
- Act as the single point of contact for customer complaints.
- Lead 8D problem-solving methodologies (8D and RCA).
- Lead the team running analytical tests on a variety of chemical and mechanical instruments.
- Manage all activities within outgoing quality prior to customer product shipment.
- Implement thorough control plans and test procedures for products and materials.
- Ensure non-conformities concerning final product deviations are reported and addressed immediately, following up on corrective and improvement actions.
- Apply knowledge of quality tools, including 8D, FMEA, 5W, PPAP, and APQP.
Reporting
Reporting into Head Of Plant Quality.
What You’ll Bring
- Qualification in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strongly preferred prior experience on a manufacturing shop floor.
- Strong experience managing customer quality.
- Experience leading and coordinating teams.
- Experience troubleshooting analytical instruments/equipment.
- Knowledgeable of SPC and Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Knowledgeable of quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949.
