In your role as Quality Manager, Quality Management System (QMS), you will oversee the QMS to comply with all requirements related to quality but that also integrates the health, safety, and the environment systems at the Somerset site. You will work closely with the central IMS team throughout all operations at the site.

Reporting into Head of Plant Quality, you will:

  • Be responsible for managing and developing Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with third party accreditations;
  • Ensure consistency, sustainability, and standardization of quality systems by leading the quality function and taking strategic responsibility for quality development with customers;
  • Develop, implement, and measure appropriate Quality KPI’s;
  • Engage and encourage employees to build a clear understanding of their responsibilities and to embed a quality and safety culture throughout the business;
  • Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) on business process maps (SIPOC);
  • Initiate containment and corrective actions for non-conformity and customer complaints, specifically evaluating failures, identifying root-cause and technical responsibility;
  • Apply quality and CI tools to quality and operations problems, including 8D, 5 whys, SPC, and lean 6S;
  • Perform periodic internal audits in accordance with IATAF 16949 standard and report on quality and safety.

The Quality team is a dynamic group working across three areas - company quality, product quality and plant quality. Being a relatively new team, you’ll play a critical part in creating and implementing new processes and help building large scale manufacturing lines from the ground up.

What you’ll bring:

  • Lead Auditor in IATF 16949; Internal auditor on ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is a plus.
  • Highly organized and excellent at managing time.
  • Capable of handling issues within short deadlines, and escalating in a timely manner when necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, write well, and solve problems.
