Overview
As Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and facilitation of project gateways, milestone events, and the development of governance frameworks across key initiatives. This role ensures that projects adhere to organizational standards, manage risk effectively, and align with strategic objectives through structured decision points and governance procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve project governance procedures, ensuring consistency across all projects and programs.
- Define and maintain project lifecycle processes, including stage gates, milestone reviews, and approval workflows.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and organizational policies.
- Plan and facilitate project gateway reviews and milestone events, ensuring readiness criteria are met at each stage.
- Prepare and coordinate documentation required for stage gate approvals, including business cases, risk registers, and benefits realization plans.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure informed decision-making at key project checkpoints.
- Oversee delivery of medium to large-scale projects from initiation through closure, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and in-scope delivery.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk logs, and resource plans.
- Drive issue resolution, change management, and project reporting.
- Serve as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders during project gateway reviews and audits.
- Collaborate with business units, technical teams, and external partners to align on goals and governance requirements.
- Generate regular reports on gateway status, milestone tracking, and governance compliance.
- Maintain documentation repositories and ensure audit readiness for all projects.

Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mindset and the backing of a well-established parent company. Our UK headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally with exposure to gateway and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience implementing or managing project governance, stage gate processes, and milestone reviews.
- Strong understanding of risk management, stakeholder engagement, and project lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
