We are looking for a skilled and forward‑thinking SCADA/Automation Engineer to lead the design, development and integration of SCADA and PLC systems in a modern battery manufacturing facility, including Building Management System (BMS) integration. This role will be responsible for designing robust control architectures, ensuring secure data connectivity, and supporting smart factory initiatives through scalable and resilient automation platforms.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading the full project lifecycle for SCADA/automation systems from concept, budgeting and design to FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover.
- Defining technical scopes of work for automation and SCADA vendors, ensuring alignment with internal standards and functional requirements.
- Coordinating with process, facilities, EHS and quality teams to align automation with operational goals.
- Designing and implementing a robust SCADA system architecture for real‑time control, data acquisition, diagnostics and alarm handling across the plant.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics or Controls Engineering.
- Good experience in SCADA and PLC system development.
- Hands‑on experience with multiple PLC platforms (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Automation, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Omron Sysmac).
- Strong background in SCADA development (Ignition, WinCC, AVEVA, FactoryTalk).
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and smart utility systems.
- Experience with protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Ethernet, Profinet etc.
- Solid understanding of industrial cybersecurity, change management and validation compliance.
