Purpose of the Role
As an IT Manager, we are seeking an experienced leader to work with corporate functions to identify solutions to business problems and have them implemented in a cost‑effective way. Being proactive in identifying technology trends and implementing POCs, scaling them up for production consumption. Good understanding of the business process and experience supporting enterprise‑level applications along with knowledge of end‑to‑end application lifecycle and being hands‑on in day‑to‑day operations. This role is based in Bridgwater, Somerset, and operates on a hybrid working model, with monthly travel to other company sites as part of the position.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Primary responsibility is to interact with business stakeholders, identify their problem statements.
- Work with the business users and partners to finalize the solution and have them deployed.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand and support new projects.
- Define technology roadmap for corporate functions (Corp Office & factory).
- Define the NorthStar and work to have them realized on the ground.
- Identify the latest technology trends, evaluate, work with stakeholders to have them implemented and adopted.
- Good hands‑on experience managing large technology programs.
- Deploy the applications for different functions.
- Drive change management, user adoption.
- Manage application integrations.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business teams.
- Coordinate training and rollout plans for new systems or enhancements to the existing systems.
- Interface with business stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, development teams to ensure business requirements are properly configured and delivered.
- Setup and run regular governance with key stakeholders.
- Perform continuous improvements to enable smooth functioning of functions.
- Managing and maintaining all required documentation.
Good To Have
- Working experience in SuccessFactors, Concur, Health and safety systems, shop floor systems, managing web applications.
Qualifications And Experience
- Degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Hands‑on experience implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise applications such as SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Concur, Health & Safety systems, and shop‑floor/operations systems.
- Strong background in managing and maintaining web‑based applications (technology stack flexible), including troubleshooting, integrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to work across diverse application landscapes, ensuring stability, scalability, and alignment with business processes.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven experience managing IT enterprise applications.
- Prior exposure to large‑scale enterprise application deployment and support.
- Good understanding of integration across enterprise applications covering ERP and non‑ERP platforms.
- Hands‑on experience in project management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Green field deployment experience is plus.
- Experience working in different SDLC methodologies is plus.
- Having an MBA / Executive MBA is a plus.
