AGR is working closely with our Aberdeen-based client to recruit a Business Analyst to join its team on a contract, initially until March 2027.
About the role:
This role will be responsible for analysing business requirements and supporting the development of digital workplace solutions across Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and operational needs. A key role in identifying opportunities to streamline business processes, enhance collaboration, and drive digital adoption through effective use of Microsoft technologies. This role will also act as functional support focal point for a selection of commercially off the shelf applications, acting as escalation for complex support requirements, planning of system enhancements and other larger upgrades. The role will be required to work with a range of technologies and applications, be comfortable with stakeholder management at a senior level and manage vendor relationships.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of business requirements and translate them into actionable insights and solution specifications
- Support and develop digital workplace solutions using Power Platform, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power BI
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as business cases, process maps, user stories and communication materials
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support delivery of digital initiatives and continuous improvement
- Engage with IT and relevant teams to evaluate, plan and deploy enhancements or upgrades to applications within the assigned portfolio
- Support governance frameworks for Microsoft 365, ensuring compliance with security, data protection and lifecycle processes
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure digital solutions meet operational requirements and support business efficiency
- Act as a point of contact for application support, troubleshooting complex issues and coordinating escalations where required
- Keep up to date with technology changes and recommend improvements to digital collaboration and workplace tools

Work Experience:
- Experience in analysing and documenting business requirements and delivering solutions within Microsoft 365 and Power Platform
- Understanding of governance, compliance, and security frameworks within Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience supporting application portfolios, including upgrades, enhancements and lifecycle management
Technical skills/Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. (Required)
- Proven experience in Microsoft Power Platform and Application Lifecycle Management, with a track record of successful project execution. (Required)
- Project Management, Business Analysis or Microsoft Power Platform certification (desirable)
