AGR are working closely with one of our clients to recruit an Electrical Technician to join its maintenance team in Barrow-In-Furness on a contract basis for an initial 12-months, on a 7-days on/ 7-days off rotation.
This role will be responsible for undertaking routine Electrical maintenance and defect repair tasks to ensure the reliability and scheduled availability of operational plant and equipment associated with gas production/processing and condensate storage.
Executes routine and on-routine maintenance activities to plant and equipment in accordance with agreed procedures and operational requirements to ensure the protection of plant, equipment and the safety of employees.
Carries out commissioning and decommissioning activities to ensure planned plant operating programmes are achieved in a timely manner.
Contributes to the design and commissioning of plant modifications including the initiation of recommendations for modifications to ensure the ongoing availability of plant and equipment.
Supervises other staff and vendor/contractor employees in undertaking particular work activities to ensure that activities are undertaken safely and efficiently in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Work Experience:- Knowledge of production/maintenance operations gained through experience of working in the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrable experience in petrochemical process operations or maintenance.
- Sound understanding of engineering principles.
- The inherent hazards of operating in this nature and the substances involved require the job holder to possess a thorough knowledge of procedures and the process systems to ensure the ongoing integrity of health, safety and environmental performance.
