HR Manager | Fast-growing consumer brand | South West England | £50,000 - £60,000
We’re working with a fast-growing premium consumer brand that’s going through an exciting stage of growth. They’re looking for a hands‑on HR Manager to take genuine ownership of the people function and help shape how the business grows.
This is a practical, roll-your-sleeves-up role. It suits someone who enjoys being close to the business and getting things done, rather than working in a large corporate HR team.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning the day-to‑day people function end to end
- Building and refreshing HR policies, processes and documentation that work for a growing business
- Running smooth onboarding and offboarding
- Supporting managers with performance management, development and reviews
- Managing benefits and wellbeing initiatives
- Leading recruitment for junior and mid-level roles
- Handling employee relations matters with sound judgement
- Keeping the business compliant with employment law and best practice
- Driving engagement and helping protect a strong culture as the team grows
- Producing HR reporting and data for the leadership team
- Working closely with Finance and the company’s legal adviser
What you’ll bring
- Solid generalist HR experience, ideally in a growing or scale‑up business
- A pragmatic, commercial approach: you know when a process helps and when it gets in the way
- Confidence working on your own and being the go-to person for all things people
- Strong ER knowledge and an up‑to‑date understanding of UK employment law
- Great relationship skills with people at every level
- CIPD qualified or working towards it (preferred, not essential)
- Experience in consumer brands, FMCG, food and drink, retail or hospitality would be a bonus
