Interim Head of Group FP&A - 12 month FTCA listed consumer business in Central London is looking for an Interim Head of Group FP&A for an initial 12-month contract, with a strong intention to make the role permanent. The position has been created as part of a restructure of the finance leadership team and represents a genuine opportunity to step into a high-profile, strategically important role with direct exposure to CFO and CEO level.

The successful candidate will act as the right-hand person to the Director of FP&A, leading the group FP&A function and coordinating planning and forecasting across a number of market-specific finance teams.

The role:

  • Lead the group FP&A function, owning consolidated budgeting, forecasting and planning across all markets
  • Act as a central coordinator across market finance heads, ensuring cohesive group-level narratives for board and senior leadership
  • Produce high-quality board papers, budget packs and senior leadership presentations
  • Own staff OPEX planning and reporting at a group level
  • Build and present financial narratives and packs for CFO and CEO sign-off
  • Manage one direct report (senior FP&A analyst) with the expectation of the team growing
  • Lead or support finance system improvement projects
  • Work closely with the CFO and wider finance leadership to drive planning and coordination across the business

About you:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong group FP&A background - experience in a listed business environment preferred but not essential
  • A confident storyteller - able to distil complex financial information into clear, compelling narratives for board and executive audiences
  • Experience building board-level packs and managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Consumer-facing business experience advantageous but not essential
