We’re supporting an early-stage VC fund with the hire of an Investment Analyst / Associate to join their London team. The fund invests across the UK, Europe and US, backing technology-enabled businesses in high-impact sectors.
It’s a broad investing role and a great opportunity for someone who wants exposure across the full investment process, from finding and meeting founders through to diligence, execution and working with companies post investment.
The role will cover:
- Sourcing new investment opportunities and building relationships with founders
- Market, commercial and financial due diligence
- Financial modelling and supporting investment papers
- Supporting the team through deal execution
- Working with and supporting existing portfolio companies
- Researching new markets, technologies and areas of investment opportunity
- Building relationships across the founder and investor community
- Keeping on top of deal flow, pipeline and reporting
Who are we looking for?
There isn’t one specific background our client is looking for, and we’d actually be really interested in speaking to people who have taken a slightly less conventional route into investing. You could already be working in VC, but equally you might be a Founder’s Associate, Chief of Staff or early-stage operator who has worked closely with founders and had exposure to strategy, fundraising or new market opportunities.
They’re also very open to entrepreneurial profiles, someone who has built something themselves, launched a new initiative or simply taken a less traditional route into VC. This opportunity would suit someone who is naturally curious, commercially minded and analytically strong. You’ll enjoy getting into the detail of a business, but also genuinely like the people side of venture, meeting founders, building a network and getting out into the market.
Ultimately, they’re looking for someone bright, proactive and grounded who has the potential to develop into a really strong early-stage investor.
