A globally recognised retail business in Central London is looking for an Interim Senior Finance Analyst for a six-month fixed-term contract. The role sits within a non-core FP&A team responsible for tech capex, tech opex and non-store investment, covering a cost base of circa £30 million across approximately 150 contracts. It's a high-profile seat with strong exposure to procurement, technology leadership and a major website replatforming project - a genuine opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to step into something commercially interesting at a brand with real weight on the CV.
The role:
- Own the month-end process for a large tech opex cost base, including accruals, prepayments and variance analysis across circa 150 contracts.
- Business partner the technology leadership team and procurement function on contract management, upcoming renewals and future cost planning.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting across tech capex and non-store investment areas.
- Support procurement-led cost saving initiatives with financial analysis and insight.
- Engage actively across finance, tech and procurement - this is not a heads-down Excel role.
About you:
- Newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Management accounts experience preferred — understanding of accruals, prepayments and owning an opex cost base.
- Audit background considered — strong technical knowledge and the right attitude matter most.
- Experience working with tech contracts or procurement a plus, not a prerequisite.
- Confident, personable and happy to build relationships across a large, busy business.
- Available to start within the next two to three weeks.
