We are partnering with one of the UK’s most exciting consumer challenger brands in the food & drink space — a high-growth, mission-led business with big ambitions and a genuine passion for doing things differently. As the brand continues to scale rapidly across retail, wholesale and DTC channels, they are now looking to hire a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance capability and ensure best-in-class financial reporting, insight and control.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a fast-paced, creative and purpose-driven team where your work will directly influence commercial decisions, growth strategy and operational performance.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you will sit at the heart of the business, owning the month-end process, supporting financial reporting, and providing actionable insights across the brand. You will work closely with the Financial Controller, commercial teams and founders to ensure accuracy, clarity and strong financial foundations as the brand scales.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End & Financial Control
- Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts in line with accounting standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate close of month-end activities.
- Complete key balance sheet reconciliations, including stock, purchasing and accruals.
Management Reporting & Insight
- Support the production of monthly financial reports (P&L, Cashflow, Balance Sheet).
- Work with the Financial Controller to analyse performance and present meaningful insights to senior stakeholders.
- Participate in review sessions to track progress against targets and highlight areas for improvement.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain to support decision‑making.
- Own and manage short- and medium‑term cashflow models.
- Support cross‑functional projects that help improve financial visibility and commercial discipline.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Produce monthly variance reports and monitor departmental spend.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and cashflow forecasts.
- Review monthly draft P&L and Balance Sheet ahead of Financial Controller sign‑off.
Process Improvement
- Continuously look for ways to streamline financial processes, boost accuracy and improve efficiency across the finance function.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth challenger environment. You’ll enjoy variety, responsibility and the chance to have a real commercial impact.
- A confident communicator who can explain finance clearly to non‑finance colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working in a consumer goods, FMCG or high‑growth start‑up environment (ideal).
- Understanding of retail, wholesale, e‑commerce and stock management is highly beneficial.
- Intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using tools such as Xero, SAP, QBO or Unleashed.
- Qualified or Part‑Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or equivalent.
- Proactive, hands‑on and comfortable managing multiple priorities at pace.
What’s On Offer
- Hybrid working between their London office and home.
- The opportunity to join a fast‑growing challenger brand at a pivotal stage of scale.
- Exposure to founders and senior leaders, with plenty of autonomy and influence.
- Involvement across multiple functions — Sales, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain.
- Strong mentorship and opportunities for learning and progression.
- Competitive salary and a supportive, energetic team culture.
If you’re excited by the idea of shaping the financial backbone of a brand that’s redefining the category, we’d love to hear from you.
