We are partnering with one of the UK's most exciting consumer challenger brands in the food & drink space â a high-growth, mission-led business with big ambitions and a genuine passion for doing things differently. As the brand continues to scale rapidly across retail, wholesale and DTC channels, they are now looking to hire a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance capability and ensure best-in-class financial reporting, insight and control.

The Role
As Management Accountant, you will sit at the heart of the business, owning the month-end process, supporting financial reporting, and providing actionable insights across the brand. You will work closely with the Financial Controller, commercial teams and founders to ensure accuracy, clarity and strong financial foundations as the brand scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-End & Financial Control
- Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts in line with accounting standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate close of month-end activities.
- Complete key balance sheet reconciliations, including stock, purchasing and accruals.
- Management Reporting & Insight
- Support the production of monthly financial reports (P&L, Cashflow, Balance Sheet).
- Work with the Financial Controller to analyse performance and present meaningful insights to senior stakeholders.
- Participate in review sessions to track progress against targets and highlight areas for improvement.
- Business Partnering
- Collaborate with teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain to support decisionâmaking.
- Own and manage short- and mediumâterm cashflow models.
- Support crossâfunctional projects that help improve financial visibility and commercial discipline.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Produce monthly variance reports and monitor departmental spend.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and cashflow forecasts.
- Review monthly draft P&L and Balance Sheet ahead of Financial Controller signâoff.
- Process Improvement
- Continuously look for ways to streamline financial processes, boost accuracy and improve efficiency across the finance function.
About You

- A confident communicator who can explain finance clearly to nonâfinance colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working in a consumer goods, FMCG or highâgrowth startâup environment (ideal).
- Understanding of retail, wholesale, eâcommerce and stock management is highly beneficial.
- Intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using tools such as Xero, SAP, QBO or Unleashed.
- Qualified or PartâQualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or equivalent.
- Proactive, handsâon and comfortable managing multiple priorities at pace.
