We’re supporting an ambitious and fast-growing venture capital firm in their search for an experienced investor to join the team as they scale their fund of funds strategy – with a particular focus on secondaries. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of late-stage venture, secondary transactions, and fund-level investing within one of Europe’s most international, entrepreneurial VC groups.
The Opportunity
The role sits within the firm’s fund of funds arm. Having established an impressive footprint through primary fund investments, they are now raising a dedicated secondaries vehicle – targeting both LP- and GP-led opportunities in the European venture ecosystem. This hire will play a pivotal role in the next chapter of that strategy:
- Leading end-to-end investment processes across secondaries transactions
- Running detailed analysis of fund managers and underlying portfolios
- Structuring deals, drafting investment materials, and presenting to IC
- Working across post-investment monitoring, fund reporting and internal frameworks
- Supporting portfolio relationships and driving thought leadership across the ecosystem
The seat offers high autonomy, broad exposure across European tech, and a unique blend of fund-level and direct-style investing.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring 5–8 years of experience in private capital, with a strong grounding in secondaries. A genuine interest in venture capital and technology is key – as is the ability to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. We’re particularly looking for:
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills (fund valuation experience a plus)
- Prior experience in secondaries (either LP-led or GP-led)
- High comfort with ownership, ambiguity and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and project management capabilities
- Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages (especially Spanish) a plus
Why It’s Compelling
- Join a high-growth, values-led VC team at a strategically pivotal time
- Shape a secondaries strategy with the backing of an experienced platform
- Interface daily with top-tier VCs and tech operators across Europe
- Work in a flexible culture with strong autonomy and ownership
- Competitive compensation and meaningful opportunity to make your mark
