We’re representing a leading global consumer-focused venture capital fund that’s looking to hire an Investment Manager to join its London team. Backed by a major industry player and with a multi-hundred-million fund to deploy, the team invests in category-defining consumer brands and enabling technologies across Europe, North America and beyond. This is a high-impact role offering significant responsibility from day one, working closely with Partners and senior investment professionals to originate, execute, and manage investments that shape the next generation of consumer businesses. The Role The Investment Manager will take a central role in the full investment lifecycle: Origination: Build deal flow through founder and investor networks, sector research, and event participation. Identify trends and opportunities in high-growth consumer categories such as beauty & wellbeing, functional food & beverages, and brand-enabling tech. Execution: Lead due diligence (commercial, financial, legal), develop valuation models, and prepare compelling investment materials for the Investment Committee. Negotiate terms and manage the closing process. Portfolio: Take Board or Board Observer seats, providing strategic guidance, leveraging corporate partnerships, and identifying growth opportunities. Monitor performance, support follow-on funding, and contribute to successful exits. Ecosystem: Build relationships with co-investors, advisors, and industry leaders to enhance deal flow and market presence. Team: Mentor junior colleagues, contribute to investment strategy, and promote a collaborative, high-performance culture. About You 5–7 years’ experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a high-growth startup. Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with a track record of working end-to-end on deals. A deep interest in consumer sectors and the start-up ecosystem, ideally with exposure to FMCG, beauty & wellbeing, food & beverage, or consumer-enabling technologies. Confident communicator able to build rapport with founders, investors, and senior stakeholders. Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, unstructured environments.
