Investment Manager – Overview
Agora Talent is supporting a privately backed investment office with a long‑term, entrepreneurial mindset to appoint an Investment Manager. The firm backs ambitious founders and management teams, providing both capital and hands‑on strategic support to help profitable businesses scale. It’s a small, dynamic, and high‑performing team where every individual has direct exposure to investment decisions, autonomy in execution, and a meaningful stake in outcomes.
Core Role Requirements
The successful candidate will work directly alongside a senior investor, taking end‑to‑end deal responsibility – from origination through to execution and portfolio support. This is an autonomous position for someone who wants to own the full investment process: meeting entrepreneurs, assessing opportunities, making investment recommendations to the committee.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and evaluate new investment opportunities.
- Lead financial and commercial due diligence.
- Build relationships with founders, management teams, and advisors.
- Prepare and present investment papers and recommendations.
- Support portfolio companies to drive growth and value creation.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Evidence of entrepreneurialism – selling products at university, building side hustles, investing personal capital, or showing risk appetite in other ways.
- Early‑stage business experience, ideally having worked in or built a scaling business.
