Our client is is a global brand development, marketing and entertainment platform, with over 50 consumer brands under their portfolio. They elevate and build the long-term value by partnering with best-in-class manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers and create sustainable revenue streams through brand development, strategic partnerships and digital innovation.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where high performance is rewarded, and where collaboration and new ideas are actively encouraged. The role itself takes ownership of statutory audits and filings across multiple EMEA entities and lifestyle and entertainment brands.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Statutory and Group Audits from planning through to completion.
- Support in preparation, review, and delivery of deliverables for audit requests.
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts.
- Liaison with external providers for Corporation Tax and Statutory Accounts.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Partner with outsourced payroll team on Payroll taxes & reporting to HMRC.
- Partner with US & UK Finance teams to review revenue contracts and other key areas to ensure both
- US & UK GAAP standards are being met in the respective ledgers. Identify, impact to tax and other relevant finance areas.
- Document internal process, controls, accounting methodologies and collate key documents.
- Recommend improvements and assist in the change.
- Support on finance compliance service provider simplification and other such projects.
- First point of contact for all external parties specific to Finance Compliance matters/queries.
Essential criteria:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong technical accounting experience
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to be a strong business partner with both internal and external parties.
Desirable criteria:
- Retail/entertainment exposure (either client portfolio in audit or direct experience in industry)
Salary: £60,000 to £70,000
Location: Central London (4 days in the office, 1 day from home)
