We’re delighted to be supporting a high-growth, multi-brand consumer retail group in the search for an Interim Head of Commercial Finance. This is a pivotal leadership role, partnering directly with the CFO and senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance, strategic decision-making, and continued expansion across the portfolio.
Operating across a multi-site, multi-channel environment, this role will suit an experienced commercial finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving business.
The Role- Lead the Commercial Finance function across multiple brands, acting as a key partner to senior leadership and the board.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning (including full P&L, balance sheet and cash flow) across the group.
- Deliver high-quality board reporting, providing clear insight on performance, risks and opportunities.
- Partner closely with merchandising and product teams on sales, margin and stock planning.
- Drive investment appraisal processes, including business cases and post-investment performance tracking.
- Support new business initiatives including commercial due diligence and onboarding of acquisitions.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing commercial finance team.
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with strong academic background.
- Proven experience in a senior commercial finance role within a multi-site, multi-channel retail environment.
- Strong track record of business partnering across senior stakeholders, including board-level exposure.
- Deep experience in stock planning, sales forecasting and margin optimisation.
- Advanced financial modelling capability across integrated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Commercially astute, analytical, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving business.
- High-impact role with direct exposure to CFO, CEO and board-level decision making.
