We’ve partnered with a fast-growing, purpose-led premium consumer brand on a mission to build something meaningful — and they’re hiring an Operations Director to take full ownership of the operational engine as the business scales across the UK, US and EU. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role with genuine autonomy. You’ll take the operation from founder-supported to fully scalable, building the systems, structure and supplier network needed to support £30m+ revenue growth — without compromising service, quality or margins.
If you’re a commercially sharp, execution-first operator who loves building order from complexity, this role offers real impact, influence and progression.
What you’ll do:
- Own end-to-end operations across manufacturing, supply chain, fulfilment, freight/logistics and systems enablement.
- Build a stable, scalable operational foundation that runs smoothly without constant escalation.
- Scale manufacturing capacity (towards 1.5m units/year) with strong planning, quality and supplier management.
- Own inbound freight strategy and multi-region 3PL operations (UK + US, with EU integration ahead).
- Drive service levels across delivery, tracking, returns, speed and accuracy — while improving cost-to-serve.
- Lead supplier and partner relationships (manufacturers, 3PLs, freight providers, carriers).
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, SLAs and terms to protect customer experience and strengthen margins.
- Improve operational systems, automation, data integrity and reporting — reducing manual workarounds.
- Own the Ops cost base and build clear cost-to-serve visibility across channels, products and regions.
- Lead and develop an existing team (~9), hiring and building capability as the operation scales.
What we’re looking for:
- Significant senior operations leadership experience in a DTC-led, complex, omnichannel consumer business.
- Strong end-to-end experience across both manufacturing and fulfilment/logistics.
- Track record scaling operations in high-growth environments with real ownership.
- Commercially minded: confident owning cost, margin, supplier negotiations and performance.
- Strong systems mindset (ERP/WMS/automation/reporting) with a focus on scalable processes.
- Calm, hands-on, structured leader — someone who builds stability rather than firefighting.
