Are you an Accounts Payable Specialist capable of operating the purchase ledger independently and with team management experience or aspirations?
Agora is delighted to be partnering with a renowned global fashion business in their search for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to take ownership of the function and manage a team of four.
Our client produces timeless and contemporary pieces across multiple brands with their group, operating a diverse portfolio of clothing and lifestyle brands across multiple continents, combining established retail expertise with innovative customer experiences both in-store and online.
This is hugely exciting time to join the business as they embark on a growth journey aided by organic expansion and recent acquisitions.
You will be a part of a wider transactional finance of 18, who hold a mentality of working hard yet maintaining a social presence outside of work and where progression and mobility is emphasised.
Responsibilities
- Managing and developing the AP team
- Processing invoices and scheduling payment runs
- Supporting with group financial reporting
- Performing statement reconciliations
- Ensuring supplier invoices are settled
- Allocating payments, direct debits and standing orders
- Onboarding new supplier bank details
- Conducting intercompany balances/statement reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies
- Partnering with non-finance stakeholders with invoice queries
Essential criteria
- 3+ years experience in AP
- Ability to work with high volumes of invoices
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent time management skills
- Leadership experience or aspirations
Desirable criteria
- Team management experience
- Retail industry exposure
- Studying for an accounting qualification
Location: London (3 days in office)
Salary: up to £40,000 + study support + bonus
Start date: ASAP
