The Agora Clinic is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team at our clinic on Dyke Road, Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance administrator to play a meaningful role within one of the UK's leading independent fertility clinics. You will support the day‑to‑day financial operations of the clinic, working closely with a small and collaborative team where accuracy, confidentiality and a professional approach are central to everything we do.

The successful candidate will support the Finance department across a range of bookkeeping and administrative tasks, working to maintain accurate and well‑organised financial records in a busy clinical environment. The role requires strong attention to detail, experience with accounting software and a professional and empathetic approach when communicating with patients and colleagues. The role is based primarily at our Brighton clinic, with occasional requirements to work across other Agora locations.
- Supporting the Finance department with day‑to‑day bookkeeping and financial administration
- Processing invoices, payments and financial transactions accurately and on time
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
- Reconciling bank statements and financial records
- Maintaining organised and up‑to‑date financial documentation
- Supporting the preparation of financial reports and records
- Communicating professionally and sensitively with patients when required
- Providing general administrative support to the wider finance team
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Previous bookkeeping or finance administration experience (minimum one year preferred)
- Experience using accounting software, ideally Xero
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A sound understanding of basic accounting principles

This is a fixed‑term contract of 12 months, with the possibility of a permanent role thereafter. We are open to both full‑time and part‑time applications, subject to a minimum of 30 hours per week. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, day shift.
