A globally recognised offshore law firm is seeking an experienced litigator to join its busy British Virgin Islands office. Working as part of a market-leading disputes and insolvency team, the successful candidate will advise on complex, high-value cross-border litigation and restructuring matters for a premier client base comprising international financial institutions, investment funds, insolvency practitioners, and high-net-worth individuals.
Qualifications
- Applicants should be England & Wales / BVI / ECSC qualified with 4–5 years' PQE and hold Higher Rights of Audience.
- You will demonstrate strong advocacy skills and a proven track record in handling complex commercial litigation, contentious insolvency and restructuring cases within a leading onshore or offshore practice or chambers.
Responsibilities
- Acting on a wide range of commercial disputes, insolvency and restructuring mandates before the BVI Commercial Court.
- Drafting pleadings, affidavits, evidence, and legal submissions in complex proceedings.
- Advising clients on strategy, settlement, and case management across multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Conducting advocacy in interim hearings, applications, and case conferences.
- Supervising and mentoring junior associates, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
