This is a hands-on offshore disputes role for a lawyer who wants early responsibility, serious litigation exposure and a clear development path within a top-tier Jersey practice. You will support partners and senior lawyers across a broad range of contentious work, including banking & finance, shareholder and corporate disputes, contentious trusts and probate, fraud and asset recovery, restructuring and insolvency and regulatory investigations. Matters are often cross-border, fast-moving and strategically significant, requiring clear thinking, strong drafting and commercial judgement.
Responsibilities
- Drafting pleadings, advice and client correspondence to a high standard
- Conducting focused legal research to support complex disputes
- Assisting with fraud investigations, asset tracing and enforcement strategies
- Supporting the management of cross-border litigation and regulatory matters
- Contributing to business development and client relationship initiatives
- Managing competing deadlines while maintaining quality and precision
Qualifications
- 2–4 PQE, admitted in England & Wales
- Background in commercial litigation, insolvency or contentious trusts preferred
- Entitled or Entitled to Work status in Jersey is essential
- Strong technical grounding with confident drafting skills
- Calm under pressure, adaptable and solutions-focused
