An offshore disputes practice in Jersey is seeking an experienced lawyer to join at Counsel level within its commercial litigation and insolvency team. The practice is recognised globally for advising on complex, high value cross-border disputes including shareholder litigation, restructuring and insolvency matters, injunctions and commercial trials. Clients include international corporates, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and high net worth stakeholders.

Working closely with senior leadership, the successful applicant will help lead significant matters from early advisory stages through to trial and enforcement, while contributing to business development and the continued growth of the practice. Jersey remains one of the most established offshore litigation centres, offering exposure to high value international disputes within a jurisdiction known for handling complex financial services litigation.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor admitted in England & Wales or Jersey
  • Approximately 10+ years’ PQE in commercial litigation
  • Strong experience in complex disputes, ideally including restructuring and insolvency matters
  • Background with a leading international or top-tier law firm
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation and deliver clear strategic advice to clients
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills within time-sensitive matters
  • Interest in business development and building client relationships within the Jersey market
