A prestigious offshore law firm is seeking an ambitious associate to join its market-leading Corporate practice in the British Virgin Islands. The team advises international corporates, financial institutions, and private equity clients on complex cross-border transactions, providing high-level exposure and a clear pathway for long-term career progression within one of the jurisdiction’s most respected practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate transactional documentation, including M&A, joint ventures, finance and security agreements, and corporate constitutional documents.
  • Provide clear, commercially focused advice on corporate and finance matters involving BVI entities.
  • Liaise with registered agents and onshore counsel to support major transactions and statutory filings.
  • Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and regulatory advice on relevant corporate matters.
  • Manage smaller mandates independently while supporting partners on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and internal knowledge-sharing programmes.

Requirements:

  • 2–6 years’ PQE gained at a leading onshore or offshore law firm with recognised corporate and/or finance expertise.
  • Strong academic background with excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Admission in the BVI or England & Wales.
  • Confident, commercially minded, and capable of handling complex matters with precision and autonomy.
