The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
To ensure the load is safely and efficiently transported from collection to delivery and undertake packing, loading and unloading as and when required.
Responsibilities
- Pack, carry, load and unload the vehicle containing customer and client personal effects and furniture.
- Operate a commercial HGV vehicle in a safe and reliable manner and be responsible at all times for the vehicle and its load.
- Undertake daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g. oil and water checks) and report any defects.
- Carry out work safely and in accordance with the Safe Systems at Work Procedures, methods, statements or other instructions.
- Check all vehicle loads comply with the requirements of Road Traffic Legislation and the defined operating limits of the vehicle.
- Undertake regular training required as part of the Driver Continuing Professional Competence (CPC qualification).
- Work independently and within a team where and when required.
- Complete all vehicle paperwork as required.
- Complete and return paperwork as required when making deliveries.
- Contribute to your own development and that of others.
- To ensure compliance of oneself with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and of oneself and subordinates with defined Quality System Policy and Procedures pertinent to ISO9002.
- Any other duties as may be requested by Management.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Full Driver CPC.
- Maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Able to work both independently and within a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
