Founded in 1958, Abels Removals is a removals firm based in Brandon, Suffolk, United Kingdom. Abels’s house moving teams specialise in moving antiques and specialist items such as pianos, grandfather clocks, fine art alongside day‑to‑day household items and furniture, always delivering the utmost care and attention, ensuring everything runs smoothly and guaranteeing our customer’s peace of mind. Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of driving including compliance with Traffic Regulations
- Maintain discipline and morale
- In charge of vehicle upon deployment
- Ensure all goods are clearly identified using the correct procedures
- Handle, lift, pack, load and unload furniture, household, office and commercial effects correctly, carefully, professionally and following the correct procedures
- Complete job paperwork accurately and on time
- Provide tachograph records on a regular, correct and fully completed basis
Qualifications
- Full UK drivers licence (no more than 3 points)
- Valid Class 2 licence
- CPC qualification
- Proven HGV driving experience
- Excellent customer service and organisational skills
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous removals experience
- Valid passport (for potential European travel)
- Multilingual skills
Benefits
- Competitive salary: ÂŁ30,062.24 per annum
- Days – normal days of work: Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays
- Hours – guaranteed 40 hours per week (weekdays). Start times can vary depending on the job and may finish late on occasion.

- Nights away allowances: ÂŁ35 UK & ÂŁ40 EU
- Based out of the Brandon depot
