What we are looking for:
A qualified roofer with a minimum of 2 years\’ experience and a proven track record.
While the vacancy is for a roofer, the successful candidate must have a \”get stuck in and get the job done\” attitude, as the role can sometimes resemble that of a multi-skilled technician. A basic understanding of other trades would be beneficial, but more importantly, the mindset to complete jobs as part of a team and move on to the next. The work involves refurbishments on residential properties.

The company and the role
Our client is a property development and management company owning numerous residential properties across Northern England.
They are expanding their North East branch in Middlesbrough due to ongoing growth.
The role involves first fix and refurbishment of properties purchased at auction, bringing them up to rental standard, ongoing maintenance, and damage repair with sitting tenants, as well as repairs between tenants.
You will be expected to:
  1. Carry out roofing repairs and maintenance works
  2. Liaise with tenants and conduct inspections
  3. Perform smaller repairs and larger installations on domestic roofs
  4. Repair profiled roofing and cladding systems
  5. Inspect composite domestic and residential roofs for leaks
  6. Remove old roofs, install insulation, and repair leaking roofs (Slate, Tile, Gutter & Facia works)
  7. Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance is performed as scheduled
  8. Attend sites for reactive repairs as instructed
  9. Supervise subcontractors and ensure high standards of work
  10. Schedule and coordinate work on site, ensuring timely, within-budget completion
  11. Manage equipment and materials
  12. Perform reactive maintenance within occupied homes in the social housing sector
