This role is to inspire and lead a dedicated team, drive exceptional care standards, and create a culture where compassion, dignity, and excellence are embedded in everything you do.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive, and effective live‑in care service enabling clients to remain independent in the comfort of their own homes.
- Ensure delivery of the highest standards of person‑centred care, fully compliant with all CQC regulations, while achieving operational, quality, and business performance objectives.
- Ensure residents understand the care and treatment choices available to them and that care promotes choice, dignity, and individuality.
- Review existing care provision to meet current physical and mental health needs, liaising with residents, staff, health professionals, social workers and other parties to adapt plans accordingly.
- Carry out auditing to fully understand quality and take rapid reparative action if any concerns arise.
- Ensure that effective risk assessments are in place to protect residents and overall safety.
- Induct new staff and ensure ongoing training, motivation, supervision and support.
- Carry out disciplinary or formative action against team members as required.
- Effectively staff the home to cover residents’ needs, with contingency plans for unexpected absences or events.
- Investigate complaints concerning safeguarding, abuse, or service delivery and ensure notifications and duty of candour are sent to the right parties.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
- Management qualification at QCF level 4 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
- Previous registration in a residential service preferable.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Experience of working with vulnerable client groups.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
