We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to work within our supported living service in Retford, delivering and overseeing high-quality support for three individuals with learning disabilities and/or difficulties, autism, and complex needs. In this role, you’ll support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes, promoting choice, control, and inclusion in everyday life. You’ll play a key role in ensuring each person receives tailored, person‑centred support that reflects their goals, preferences, and aspirations. Reporting to the Registered Manager, you’ll divide your time between hands‑on support and leadership or administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support skills and promote independence for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
  • Offer emotional regulation and decision‑making assistance, promoting a person‑centred approach.
  • Lead and coordinate staff shifts, maintaining high standards of care and ensuring the service runs safely.
  • Provide coaching, communication, and behaviour support to staff and clients.
  • Ensure accurate records, reporting changes in health or circumstances to management.
  • Work within a team while also exercising own initiative.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK Driver’s licence.
  • Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, willingness to work towards Level 3.
