Position Overview: Kitchen Assistant – part-time, 18 hours per week (including alternate weekends) in a care home in Gloucestershire.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the chef to prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks.
  • Ensure correct handling of dietary requirements and allergens.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area, complying with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols.
  • Work effectively as a team player while also being able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Offer support, communication and engagement to residents.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK with a minimum of 12 months on the right to work.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety and COSHH.
  • Self-motivated, caring, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
